Jack Wood’s 2024 campaign came to a close at Phoenix Raceway on Friday with an 11th-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) and a 35th-place finish in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) finale. The Loomis, Calif. native secured a career-best fourth-place finish in the AMSW championship standings in the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet SS and tackled double duty in the No. 91 Mongoose Bicycles Chevrolet Silverado RST.
Wood’s day began by starting third in the AMSW 100-lap finale on Friday afternoon. He took the checkered flag in 11th position to finish the 12-race season with five top-five’s and seven top-10 finishes.
Wood’s run in the second act of the day’s doubleheader began from the 21st starting position in the crescendo of the NCTS campaign. After restarting 25th on lap 55, Wood’s night ended in the Turn 1 wall after contact with the No. 41 truck on lap 59. Wood retired from the event due to terminal damage from the incident as the No. 91 team finished the season 17th in the NCTS owners’ point standings.

McAnally-Hilgemann Racing announced today that Mongoose Bicycles and the USA BMX Foundation will rejoin the organization and adorn Jack Wood’s No. 91 Chevrolet Silverado RST in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) finale at Phoenix Raceway on Friday, November 8th. Wood’s No. 91 Mongoose / USA BMX Foundation Chevrolet will also feature Boys & Girls Club of the Valley in partnership with Swire Coca-Cola, the local bottler.
Prior to the final NCTS event of the season, Wood and Team USA Olympic BMX racers Cam Wood and Brooke Crain will visit local teens as part of Mongoose and USA BMX Foundation’s continued commitment to youth STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. On Wednesday, November 6th, Jack Wood, Cam Wood, and Brooke Crain will visit Boys & Girls Club of the Valley’s Littleton Branch to discuss the healthy lifestyle habits, work ethic, and commitment that both BMX and motorsports disciplines require.
USA BMX Foundation will be donating a BMX STEM Program to Boys & Girls Club of the Valley, which includes five Mongoose bikes with helmets, bike computers, bike tools, and a six-module course to incorporate into the branch’s after-school youth programs. Students at the branch will use the donated STEM bikes and curriculum to perform various STEM experiments, all while learning the fundamentals of BMX cycling and racing.
During the visit, Swire Coca-Cola is partnering with Mongoose and the USA BMX Foundation to donate a bike, helmet, and custom race jersey to 25 teens from the Bob Bové and Littleton Branches in Avondale, Ariz. The teens will learn the tricks of the trade from both BMX Olympians and get an insight into the dedication that Jack Wood pours into his NASCAR career.

Jack Wood began the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW) campaign with a seventh-place finish on Friday evening at Phoenix Raceway to mark his second consecutive top-10 result at the one-mile tri oval. The driver of the No. 16 NAPA Auto Care Chevrolet SS kick started his AMSW championship bid with his 12th-career top-10 finish as the race was called short due to rain and lightning after 115 of 150 scheduled laps.

Jack Wood had one of the best performances of his young NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) career on Friday night at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). The driver of the No. 91 Klotz Synthetics, Cometic Gasket Chevrolet Silverado RST finished 18th after being collected in a multi-truck accident on the final lap while running third. Wood scored 23 points and has the No. 91 team 18th in the owners’ points standings.

Jack Wood will make his 13th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start of 2023 for Kyle Busch Motorsports behind the wheel of the No. 51 Rubbin’ is Racing Chevrolet in Friday Night’s Lucas Oil 150 at Phoenix Raceway. Friday night’s race will be the final race in a storied chapter for KBM. The organization holds the Craftsman Truck Series records for most career wins (100) and most wins in a single season (14 in 2014).

Jack Wood started the Baptist Health Cancer Care 200 from the 11th position on Saturday afternoon in the High Fives Foundation Silverado. On lap 67, the No. 9 of Colby Howard spun out in front of Wood causing damage to the trucks’ front end. Despite the damage, the team felt confident that they had a tire advantage on the field, helping Wood gain 12 spots to finish the race 12th overall.

Jack Wood will make his 12th NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series start of 2023 for Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM) behind the wheel of the No. 51 High Fives Foundation Chevrolet in Saturday’s Baptist Health 200 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Wood has finished inside the top 10 in two of his 11 Truck Series starts this season, including a career best ninth-place finish at Texas Motor Speedway in April. The California native has qualified inside the top 10 for seven of 11 Truck Series events this season, with a season-best qualifying effort of second coming at Texas. He has one prior start at Homestead-Miami Speedwady.
